Our Story
I have boys. Active boys. Boys who’ve tried just about every sport under the sun—soccer, baseball, football, basketball, bowling, gymnastics, crew, cross country, track, swimming, lacrosse… you name it. And with all that activity came a lifetime of stained, sweaty, stinky clothes.
One day, I boldly declared, “There isn’t a stain I can’t get out.” That challenge kicked off a laundry experiment that spiraled into a mountain of products—stain removers, boosters, sprays, pods, liquids. Some worked, some didn’t. Most were packed with harsh chemicals. And let’s be honest: liquid detergent is mostly water.
I knew there had to be a better way.
So, a few years ago, I ditched the chemical cocktail and started making my own laundry soap. Just three ingredients—classic staples that have been trusted in laundry rooms for generations. And guess what? It worked. It tackled the dirt, sweat, and odor from our clothes and even the boys’ lacrosse gear.
In early 2025, I handed out samples to my book club and family. The response? “Where can I get more?” That’s when Clothespin Soap was born—created by a crew of sporty boys and their sports-loving mom (that’s me).
Clothespin Soap is tough on stink, gentle on skin, and made for athletes and their gear. Simple. Effective. No nonsense.
